AsiaWorld-Expo is very easy to get to from anywhere in Hong Kong, with regular train and bus services throughout the day.
For many, the MTR train (the same train which services the airport line) will be the best route. A special discount day return costs around $60HKD. Tickets can be redeemed with an event proof-of-entry and Octopus (Hong Kong's version of a metro card) at the designated AsiaWorld-Expo / Airport line service counters at Hong Kong Station (located at lower level 2). The AsiaWorld-Expo MTR departs from Hong Kong Station, Kowloon Station, Tsing Yi Station and the Airport. Travel time is about 25 minutes and the train leaves every ten minutes.
For a detailed timetable and maps, visit the AsiaWorld-Expo website, or visit the official MTR website. The final train from AsiaWorld-Expo to Hong Kong departs at 12:40pm HKT giving you plenty of time to get from the dancefloor to the train. However, there are also several bus alternatives!
A special express bus to the venue runs on Route X1. You can jump on this express transit at MTR Tung Chung Station (the bus stop is located outside Citygate Mall) between 15:00 to 19:00. Direct A-Route buses to the venue are also available from all over Hong Kong. Find detailed routes and timetables on the Asia-World Expo website.
To get you home, we’ll also be running a free shuttle bus from 12:30 AM – 1:30 AM HKT. Be warned, there are two drop off points only and the train will be the faster option. The drop off points are:
